Julia bridges her passion for storytelling with her curiosity for uncovering artisanal objects and characterful spaces.
Julia began her career under design industry pioneer and public relations legend, Susan Becher, who ran her namesake firm Susan Becher & Associates, SB&A, in New York City for 35 years. Susan was deemed an “incredibly unique publicist”, introducing pivotal European design brands, like Marimekko, Cassina and Flos, to the US market.
Julia attended The University of Texas at Austin, pursuing a degree in Journalism. Julia worked closely and collaboratively with Susan, eventually becoming co-owner and principal of SB&A upon Susan's retirement. After nearly a decade at the helm, she launched Julia Duke & Co.
